Children and Community – Advanced Certificate

A five-day course to strengthen your skills in your community's Children's and Families ministry.
Hosted by Moorlands College Regional Centre - Midlands  

An exciting opportunity for those working as a Children and Families Pastor or those volunteering in this field for over 10 years.

You’ll be able to increase your skills as you reflect and re-assess your practice against a theology of children’s ministry. The course will help you to critically evaluate the place of theology and its interface with ethical, sociological and psychological perspectives of Children and Families Ministry within the church.

If you successfully complete the lectures and an assessment task you will be awarded the Moorlands College Church and Children Ministry Advanced Certificate.

Each Day begins at 10 am and ends at 4 pm. We conclude each Day with a short act of Christian worship.

Most Days start with coffee and biscuits and end with tea and biscuits/cakes.


Cost: a donation of £6 per person is suggested for private Gardens and guests should bring a packed lunch. Drinks will be provided.


Set charges for other venues are:

Mount St Bernard’s Abbey  - £10 (tea and coffee only served).

Hothorpe Hall - £22 with lunch

The Stable House - £25 with lunch and afternoon tea served


Please note: We have no facilities to accept credit/debit cards - cash or cheques only please at all venues.


Booking cancellation: If you are unable to come to the Day for any reason, please let the Host know. Some venues are over-subscribed and someone else may be waiting for a place, even at the last minute.
